My invisible Lover

It's been a while since the writer's block... but here it is.. my new poem ;)

I remember his promise to travel the seas,

Through oceans and mountains across countries,

A hope, a dream, words of certainties,

In a world of pretend possibilities...

I call him the one, the invisible lover,

The emotions i feel and yet to discover,

Far away he lives in a land of ever after

A love I thought will never falter

The break ups and fights had broken my heart,

Made it harder to breathe when it's torn apart,

The tears that I cried when he wished me to die,

As if i hadn't already knowing we were a lie...

My wedding dreams were shattered like glass,

Broken vows once were made to last,

And still he's the one who rules my life,

Even if his love as sharp as a knife...

In that distance I wish for a chance,

To have and hold, to complete our dance,

My love had been an unfinished story,

A burden, a baggage of a long term memory...

He is not here to be my life's hero,

Not here today, not even here tomorrow,

Comes the day I fly on a metal wing,

To unstealth my love, and end my waiting...

I call him the one, my invisible lover,

The one I will cherish forever,

Faraway he lives in a land of ever after,

A love that I know will never falter... :)
